From start to finish our experience with Evolution Expeditions was PERFECT! Email communication, check-in process, reminder phone call, pick up, and drop off were all excellent. The instructions at the beginning were thorough and helpful - we knew what to do the whole time. Kayaks are of high quality with plenty of dry space for a pack if you have one. Our guide Ray was fabulous! She made everything fun and was so knowledgeable of the area. She kept us on track at a leisurely pace. She shared area history and fun facts, answering all our questions with ease. Besides the incredible landscape, we saw interesting cactus varieties, various birds, and bighorn sheep! Hot springs were AMAZING. The lunch was great! Perfect day from start to finish - HIGHLY recommended!!
This was a bucket list item I didn't know I had! Absolutely amazing trip. It was incredible to see the Hoover Dam from below. We hiked to a couple of all-natural hot springs, and the tour guides were playful and helped us curate the experience to get what we wanted out of it. The waters were crystal clear and bright green on the Colorado. If you want to see Emerald Cove, make sure you get an early tour like 7 am - it was too dark to see on the 9 am tour. Definitely would recommend the 7-hour tour!!
We booked a group kayak tour from Willow Beach to Emerald Cove and had a really great time. Jenna and Shay were our tour guides, and they were both very friendly and made sure we all had a great time. Would definitely book another tour with them in the future.

I’ve always wanted to go kayaking. Taking this tour with Anthony was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. He was funny, patient, and kind. Since it was my first time kayaking I was kind of like a bull in a china shop. Anthony was very patient with me and helped me along so I didn’t feel out of place. The views were amazing the whole time. The lunch was good. Everyone was on time. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
Excellent tour!! Our family of five (mom/dad/three adult kids), all amateur kayakers, did this tour and had a fabulous time! Rachel and Candace were knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly and made the four-mile round trip seem like we were paddling only half that distance. Serene and beautiful! Highly recommend a waterproof phone bag to hang around your neck so your phone stays dry and easily accessible. Definitely worth the one hour drive from Vegas!
This is a must-do if you are in Vegas. I can't say enough about how awesome the tour was. They put you in at the base of Hoover Dam...you get to see thermal caves...Hot Springs...Emerald green water... waterfalls...there are a couple of short but waaaay cool hikes included. Sebastion our driver was cool...Our tour guide Michelle was awesome...friendly...knowledgeable (you will learn about the history of Hoover Dam,) and patient!!.. Water..snacks..and a nice lunch were provided....seriously...book this tour...you won't regret it.
My friends and I had a great experience kayaking yesterday with Evolution Expeditions. Our guides Michelle and Jenna were very personable and helpful and ensured we all had a great time. As a first time kayaker, I was concerned about tipping over and that my lack of skill might hinder the group, but Michelle and Jenna were very patient helping us novices and ensuring we were comfortable. The scenery was beautiful and it was a great experience. I would highly recommend it!
My husband and I chose to embark on the emerald cave 4-hour kayak trip. After reading through Evolution Expedition’s rave reviews, we knew we were in for a treat. The experience did not disappoint. The company itself was extremely organized, and our tour guide, Michelle was friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. We learned all about the current river trends and climate as well as the vast history surrounding the development of the Hoover Dam. Thanks, evolution expeditions and Michelle! We will most certainly be back for another tour!
Looking for a little break from the Vegas strip, this was the perfect excursion! Rachel and Jenna were fun and knowledgeable guides. We had a blast on the tour and thoroughly enjoyed the breathtaking views. Do not miss this if you’re in the Las Vegas area!
Our tour guide Bridgette was amazing!! Helped our friend who fell out of his kayak and also showed us such a beautiful place and made the adventure so much fun!! The coolest thing by far was we got to see an American Bald Eagle during our tour, that’s once in a lifetime opportunity!!
