Not every guest wants a twelve-mile paddle to reach Hoover Dam — this route gets you there in a five-hour round trip on Lake Mead’s calm, glassy water. You’ll launch from Boulder City after a morning safety briefing, glide through the narrow, colorful walls of the Kingman Wash slot canyons, and paddle to a view of the front of the dam, with the Mike O’Callaghan–Pat Tillman bridge arching hundreds of feet overhead.

At about 3.6 miles round-trip, this is a shorter, calmer alternative to Evolution’s full 12-mile Black Canyon route — a relaxed launch with a big payoff, well suited to groups who want the Hoover Dam view without the longer paddle. Las Vegas Resort & Hotel pickup times may vary by location. Pick-up times are between 90 and 110 minutes before tour start times. Please be courteous to other participants and promptly show up on time at the tour bus area or launch location provided on the confirmation email. Please have your cellular phone on and available. Shuttles generally arrive back to Las Vegas Resort & Hotels between 90 and 120 minutes after the kayak tour ends. Shuttle times vary with traffic.
This route launches from Lake Mead and covers about 3.6 miles round-trip over five hours — a shorter, calmer paddle to a view of the front of the dam. The Hot Springs tour is a full 12-mile, seven-hour route through Black Canyon with a sauna cave and hot springs included.
