“Don't like Vegas? Think again.”
We (Group of German college students plus two instructors) took this incredible Black Canyon kayak tour on our first day together as a group in the U.S. Nobody had met each other before as almost everybody came from a different college location. Guess what? After our truly fabulous river guide Rod had had his ways with us we emerged from the canyon as a group of friends! It was really thanks to Rod and this tour that for the rest of our stay in America we felt as if we had always been together. Magic? Possibly, but what's for sure is that there was a lot of adventure spirit, storytelling, kayak chasing, sandwich devouring and also some silent gliding or plain floating down the river. TripAdvisor review guidelines suggest that we provide input on possible improvements. I have two suggestions: 1) We would like our tour guide to stay with us for the entire 11 days as we enjoyed his company so much 2) Rod taught us (non-native English speakers) the buzzword "AWESOME" as an expression of great joy. Could we please add this as the sixth rating point on TripAdvisor so we may rate this tour above just plain old "excellent"? In short: If you are a nature lover looking for a fun and non-regrettable way to spend your money in Vegas, book this tour.
“Best thing about going to Vegas!!”
I can't say enough about this trip. We went the first week of February. Although it was cold outside, we warmed up very quickly after getting into the hot springs. Our tour guide Mike did everything he could to make sure our trip was enjoyable. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and was a great guide. It felt like...
“Best trip in Vegas”
What can I say? This trip was more expensive than the others you can go on, but for my wife and I, was totally worth the money. Driver Dan picked us up directly from our hotel which was very convenient considering what time is was. The drive was quick and instructions on kayak usage and how to stow away bags...
This was a great experience!!! We took the tour from the base of the Hoover Dam to Willow Beach. We were first time kayakers and a little nervous. Mike our guide made us feel more at ease. He was knowlegable about the area and really enjoyed his job. He took us to a sauna cave and the hot springs. He even jumped off a cliff with us into the cold Colorado river. Lunch and snacks were provided (and delicious). We got to see some interesting wildlife, so don't forget your cameras. They provide dry bags and a dry spot to store it in the kayak in case you tip over. Luckily, we stayed upright for the duration of the trip. We would highly recommend Evolution Expeditions. Everyone was very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome.
“One of my favorite days while in Vegas”
What a trip! Me and my husband recently visited Las Vegas and wanted to add a little nature and physical activity to our otherwise gluttonous vacation. We had the honor of having Rod as our tour guide for our first ever kayak adventure. He was extremely personable and knowledgeable about kayaking and made sure we were comfortable with all equipment and instructions.
